This Series 7 exam is accepted by the FINRA for anyone employed by a Broker-Dealer who will trade all types of securities, except commodity. The following securities licenses are covered under Series 7. Series 6, 22, 42, 52, and the 62 exams.The Series 7 exam is a six-hour test divided into two 3-hour sessions of 125 questions each for a total of 250 questions. It is in multiple choice format. To pass the test you must have70% of the total number of questions correct.
Sponsorship
In order to take the Series 7 exam, applicant generally are required to be sponsored by a FINRA or an Exchange member firm. In addition, one must submit a set of fingerprints and to take the exams you will have to complete a U-4 application and other forms required by the sponsoring firm. On the U-4 application you must disclose prior work history, criminal background ( if any) , ect. Test fee alone is $275. All FINRA exams are administered at Prometric Testing Centers with U.S. and international locations.
